On the 11th of May 2021 the student of the Erasmus+ project “Human Rights – Hidden Figures” got the chance to meet nothing less than the famous wizard Harry Potter! He was in Hogwards, in the Griffyndor common room getting ready for a charms exam. He told us about his story from when he was a baby. He spoke about his friends with whom he lived many adventures and about his enemy, lord Voldemort. The students of the Erasmus+ project asked Harry some questions.

Q: Would you have liked to be a normal guy?
A: I have a lot of friends here and I don’t want to change them, just like I don’t want to change my life at Hogwarts. Besides, if I were a “normal guy” I wouldn’t be able to experience these adventures
Q: What languages do you study at Hogwarts?
A: We don’t actually study any languages but I think we should get to know some magical languages such as goblin, mermaid and troll languages that are very difficult, but also some non-magical languages.
Q: What’s your favorite subject at Hogwarts?
A: Defence against the dark arts is my favorite subject. In this class you learn magic that helps you in dangerous situations, especially against dark wizards
Q: What’your favorite spell?
A: It’s “Expelliarmus!” that can disarm your opponent

Q: Do you make fun of your teachers in Hogwarts?
A: Sometimes, but in an affectionate way…
Q: When you broke the rules did you have a purpose?
A: Yes, one time I was caught when I was walking in the corridors at night with my friends, we were getting rid of an illegal dragon that Hagrid had. Still I have an invisibility cloak and now I can go everywhere without being seen.
Q: Have you ever been afraid?
A: I’ve been afraid for my friends and for me because of Lord Voldemort who was becoming very powerful when he regained his body and powers.
Q: How did you overcome your fear?
A: I did it with my fiends and with my family. My best friends helped me, even my teachers, especially Professor

Dumbledore. Keep your friends and family close.
Q: What do you think of the distinction between people who are pureblood, mudblood and muggle born?
A: In the magic world there is a racial problem where pureblood families look down on the ones that aren’t. This is horrible, I think that people have the same rights, and magical creatures as well. We have a problem just like in the human world. I know that in your school you are studying about human rights, I think it’s brilliant.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: My teacher, Professor McGonagall is a very tough teacher and when she asked me what I wanted to do I was unsure but I think I want to become an Auror, which is like wizard police but against dark magic wizards.
Q: Who’s your favourite teacher and why?
A: My favorite teacher is Professor Lupin, he taught me defence against the dark arts, he is a great teacher and he even taught me the “Patronus”spell. To do it you have to think about the happiest moment in your life and say: “Expecto Patronus”! My patronus is a stag, it represents my father.
Q: Did you have online classes at Hogwarts during the lockdown?
A: At Hogwarts we haven’t had a lockdown yet and so we haven’t had online classes because the virus hasn’t spread around too much but I heard that you have a vaccine now.
Thank you Harry Potter for your time and for your message to everybody: focus on positivity and look after yourself!
